So I've got a sparcstation sitting on my desk. The left side of the keyboard has keys with nifty labels like "Copy", "Paste", and "Cut". Will R4 contain additional keysyms such as these in the standard keysymdef file? I know I could add them, but no standard program will use them unless they are standardized.. Unlikely. I note that Apollo has registered the following vendor-private keysyms
with us, you could use them:
apXK_Copy 0x1000FF02
apXK_Cut 0x1000FF03
apXK_Paste 0x1000FF04
Or, you could convince Sun to register vendor-private keysyms for their

Heck. The SparcStation kernel doesn't even tell X it's got a type 4 keyboard to deal with (I've told them this), so their registering keysyms is kind of moot until their kernel gives out the right info. a <man who got burned when making the server toggle the CapsLock LED>
