Sources are available for ftp access from gatekeeper.dec.com, uunet.uu.net, and expo.lcs.mit.edu (among others). UUNET and others provide phone line access. Fixes are available for ftp from expo.lcs.mit.edu or through email from the xstuff archive server on expo. To use it, send a message as follows: % mail xstuff@expo.lcs.mit.edu Subject: help path path-back-to-you-if-you-suspect-that-the-normal-reply-wont-work ^D This will give you instructions on how to use the server. To get a list of fixes that are available, do % mail xstuff@expo.lcs.mit.edu Subject: index fixes path path-back-to-you-if-you-suspect-that-the-normal-reply-wont-work ^D > is there any more accurate target date for release of R3? More accurate than what? I'm sure that everyone is sick of hearing "Octoberish" (I'm certainly am), but that is the answer. Hello,
I have a simple question. Namely, I'm wondering what the licensing
requirements and availability of X.11 are. For example, is the core source
availible via anonymous ftp anywhere ? Would I require a license to use it
for non-commerical, personal use ? How about installing it at my university,
or bundling an x-server with a commerical program ?
Please forgive my naivity, and thanks for your time. Email responses

Yes, on numerous machines. Perhaps someone else can provide a current list.
If you can't get it that way, you can order it from MIT, call (617) 258-8330.

Nope.
