We are attempting to install X11R3 (or *any* version of X) on a bunch of Intel 386 machines running Unix System V/386 Release 3.2 from Bell Technologies. The machines have EGA graphics cards. We received what we think are X10 binaries on the tape, but they do not seem to support EGA. At this point, we have two options: (i) Try and get X10 running if someone tells us what the trick is (if any !). (ii) Try and install X11R3 from sources we already have. The last option appears attractive, but we have no idea how to configure the machine specific macros to build the server. If anyone has the macros to use for this machine, we would greatly appreciate a copy. Also, we would appreciate *any* hints from anyone who has installed X11 on these machines. Thanks in advance. -Arun -- Arun Rao ARPANET: rao@enuxha.eas.asu.edu BITNET: agaxr@asuacvax, agazr@asuacad 950 S.
