In compiling gnumacs 18.55 I find provisions for X menus, but I can't find any other references to libXmenu. Any enlightenment greatly appreciated.

In the GNU Emacs 18.55 distribution, see the oldXMenu/ directory. The
truly enlightened, free of political backward-compatibility pressures,
will avoid it altogether :-)
