Could somebody please clue me in on how to get X going on a 4/60 SPARCstation? This thing got dropped on my desk this afternoon and now I have to live with it. What device does it need and do we need to hack the Xsun server from the MIT distrubution to get it to work? I've tried /dev/fb, /dev/bwtwo0 with no success. Any other info (hints, suggestions, warnings, etc.) would also be appreciated. E-mail is fine to above path although if the information is general enough in nature you might want to post. Any and all input is appreciated. p.s. I'm on Sun OS4.0.3 with 8M. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Joe M. You specifically DON'T need to hack the server to make it work -- the standard distribution works just fine. I use a startup line of /usr/bin/X11/xinit -geometry =80x24+0+0 -fn 6x10 -rv -e ~/bin/X11setup -- /usr/bin/X11/Xsun -a 2 The important arguments here are Xsun -a 2.
