In the twm man page, I noted that Tom was kind enough to include a twm variable entitled: NoSaveUnders The question is,... What are they? In what circumstance would they be useful? I looked in the O'Reilly version 3,... Can't seem to find anything about them.... Please note, I am only interested in this as a end-user, not a X programmer. Thanx for any and all replies, -PWM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter W. Save Under is a feature similar to Backing Store that the server may or may not provide. If the server supports it and a client asks to use it, this is what might happen: (how's that for disclaimers) The clients pops up a menu on which save unders have been requested, the server will save the image under the menu and replace the bits when the menu comes down, thereby not generating expose events on underlying windows. -- Tom LaStrange Solbourne Computer Inc.
