[comp.windows.x] Problems with xtrek

Does anyone know what might be wrong with xtrek given this problem:  The
photon torpedoes, moons, and ships don't cover their tracks when they
move.  Instead, the screen is full of trails and gets pretty cluttered
as the games progresses.  We can't figure it out.  The compile is clean.
It could be some X call being ignored, but we don't want to go prowling
through code to figure it out.

Help, help, help!
