A few days ago I wrote about a problem with xterm. Specifically, when i depressed button three in a xterm window, the xterm terminated in error. (note that button three was un-bound by twm) Jim@expo (are you listening?...) wrote and suggested that we needed to apply patch 4 to xterm. We did and that fixed the problem. the newly built xterm works fine. This also resulted in a new problem. Now xclipboard doesn't work. It comes back with a simple: Permission Denied error message. (permissions to our X bin {and *all* clients} are r-* to all) I should also tell you that we had problems in just applying the patch to xterm only, so a *new* X bin was created and most, if not all, clients were rebuilt and routed there. I then rebooted X from the old bin, xclipboard still won't work (same message). Is xclipboard writing a temp file somewhere? If so, where? Any guesses, comments, etc, greatly appreciated. -PWM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Peter W.
