I would like to have the facility to have my workstation timeout and lock the screen (like the pause option in DEC window manager) so that any process I have running are not interrupted but my workstation is secured. Can anyone provide any pointers on this? ciao Salvatore La Pietra OSF, Munich mail: aster@osf.de Internet: aster@mn.osf.org uucp: ..uunet!mcvax!unido!osfmuc!aster

The pause option is in the DECwindows session manager. It does not timeout and lock, but just locks on user command. If you're not using a session manager, you can get similar functionality from programs like xlock. Several versions have been posted to the net.
