We're running into a problem with xterm on our MIPS machines which seems to be that xterm doesn't change the controlling tty of the shell that it starts. A symptom of this is that resize will talk to the terminal that started the xterm, and not the xterm itself. This is also demonstrated by ps and the ttys that it lists. I've tried fooling with the xterm code, and all looks ok according to the man pages and so on. Has anyone else run into this and managed to fix it? This is under UMIPS 4.0 using the BSD side of things. Thanks much. John Sellens jmsellens@dragon.waterloo.edu
