[comp.windows.x] Does xpr understand XY format dumps?

Am I doing something wrong?  Does xpr understand XY format dumps?

The R3 xpr essentially only accepts XY format, but it always uses
just the most significant bit plane of a multi-plane image, which
is often useless.  The R4 xpr will be much more reasonable.
