[comp.windows.x] xloadimage is now available

madd@world.std.com (jim frost) (11/16/89)

My image display utility, xloadimage, is now available on both
comp.sources.x and via anonymous ftp from expo.lcs.mit.edu. This
utility can currently display X10 and X11 bitmaps, Sun Rasterfile
images, Faces Project images, and PBM images. Future support for GIF
and XPM image formats will be forthcoming shortly, and other image
formats are planned.

This utility can reduce the depth of images for displays with too few
colors and can dither images for monochrome screens. It has options
for zooming, clipping, and brightening images and does some other
things.

Enjoy,
