[comp.windows.x] Athena AsciiStringWidget and wordBreak

foonberg@aero.aero.org (Alan Foonberg) (11/17/89)

I have an asciiStringWidget with wordBreak as one of its textOptions.
However, when the text is first displayed, wordBreak does not work.
I have to manually scroll the window to make wordBreak take effect.
Alternatively, I can set the insertion point to the end of the buffer,
and then back to the beginning. This causes a quick scroll to the end
and then back to the beginning, making wordBreak work.

Is there a way to cause wordBreak to be in effect right away without
going thru these extra motions?

Thanks,

Alan
