[net.news] inews question

One things that inews doesn't do right now that I've been considering is
having it update the Newsgroups: line. If a message is passed out as
'net.wanted,nj.wanted' the 'nj.wanted' would be stripped when it leaves the
sites that support that distribution. This should reduce some of the
traffic in 'junk' and make followups cleaner.

Is this a reasonable thing to do? What kind of problems does this create?

One other advantage to this I just thought of: If you update the "Newsgroups:"
header line to remove bad groups, and you set it up to default the line to
'junk' if there are no legal groups left, it then becomes trivial to set
up your sys file to reject transmitting 'junk' and we can disappear them
out of the net without having them go to all the sites and let each one
stick it in junk. Or am I missing something?
