Hi. In the last week or two, I've noticed some "duplicate" messages have been coming in to my system, with slightly munged headers. For instance, here's a diff of two of them: 2,4c2,3 < Posting-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site down < Path: foros1!fortune!hpda!hplabs!tektronix!uw-beaver!cornell!vax135!houxz!houxm!ihnp4!mgnetp!burl!ulysses!allegra!princeton!down!honey < From: honey@down (code 101) --- > Path: foros1!fortune!hpda!hplabs!hao!seismo!cmcl2!rna!n44a!wjh12!genrad!grkermit!masscomp!clyde!burl!ulysses!allegra!princeton!down!honey > From: honey@down.UUCP 7c6 < Message-ID: <243@down> --- > Message-ID: <243@down.UUCP> 11c10 < Date-Received: Sat, 9-Jun-84 18:36:36 PDT --- > Date-Received: Thu, 14-Jun-84 13:16:25 PDT 13d11 < Organization: The Official Fun Machine of Princeton Univ. EECS Does anyone have any ideas? (If anyone want to check their machine for this particular article, it was in net.unix-wizards, and it was Peter Honeyman's "bet with bourne" article (regarding IFS in /bin/sh). By the way, if there is a known fix for this (I assume it's a bug), could someone send me a copy, so I make sure I don't have the problem? Thanks... -- JR (John Rogers) ...ihnp4!fortune!foros1!jr also fortune!jr and proper!jr
