[net.news] Somebody's munging message ID's

jr@foros1.UUCP (John Rogers) (06/14/84)

Hi. In the last week or two, I've noticed some "duplicate" messages have
been coming in to my system, with slightly munged headers. For instance,
here's a diff of two of them:

Does anyone have any ideas? (If anyone want to check their machine for
this particular article, it was in net.unix-wizards, and it was Peter
Honeyman's "bet with bourne" article (regarding IFS in /bin/sh).

By the way, if there is a known fix for this (I assume it's a bug),
could someone send me a copy, so I make sure I don't have the problem?

				Thanks...
