[comp.windows.x] X-Terminals over telephone lines

I recall a few months ago there was some discussion regarding
running X-Terminals over telephone lines, with the server running
either on the terminal or on a remote machine. Can anyone send
me a summary of this debate? I was asleep at the time and missed it.
