[net.news] Looking for USA X.25 site

<Yes, old news stuff is still around...>

Currently mcvax is looking for a site in the USA that can be reached
over an X.25 PSDN link (Tymnet, Telenet).
Due to the ever growing transatlantic traffic the (NOISY!) phone
links are becoming quite a bottleneck. There is no hope that with
our current USA links this situation will change before the end of
this year.
The number of X.25 links here in Europe is growing rapidly, most of
them using PADs. Problem is that the effective speed attained over
these links is real bad with the standard g-protocol (there is a
better protocol for X.25, but that won't work, since for the computer
a PAD represents an async link). Currently I'm trying out a better
suited protocol. Tests carried out sofar within Europe gave excellent
results (>4000Baud effective on a 4800Baud link).
So now I'm looking for a site in the USA to set up a link to and try
out this stuff. It would be greatly appreciated if such site could
also provide us with some newsgroups.

If you're interested, drop me a mail. We're running 4.2BSD.
Thanks in advance.
