I have been having some trouble getting uwm and the athena widgets to cooperate. To wit: 1.Place a title bar and iconify symbol on main window 2. Explicitly controlling size and position of widgets within other widgets 3. Writing graphics into viewport The graphics into viewport has received a bit of discussion lately, and is now a moot issue for us. But hese other two problems might be remedied by: 1. Using a different window manager 2. More clever use of .Xdefaults 3. Better control of widget creation in client program A manual for uwm, or better yet source, might be thge ticket here. If I go to a different window manager then I still have the same problem of insufficient documentation. Thanks for your support, chrisn

Try one of the numerous window reparenting window manager around, such as: dxwm, olwm (from Sun) olwm (from ATT), mwm, awm, gwm, wm, or twm. Did I miss any? -- Tom LaStrange Solbourne Computer Inc.
