Yea. Although I had not yet unsubscribed to general, the long article on smoking did it. Seems that a fair number of submissions to the net lately are deliberate attempts to irritate other net users, especially in net.general and net.jokes. The only answer to such behavior is to ignore it, or remove the temptation. Remove net.general. Remove net.general? Nay! Remove thyself! What, too lazy to type "U" ? I think there should be some place free of narrow definition which has a large potential audience. I have been told that place is net.wanted. I can't believe it. Seems to me most people use net. general that way. That a few abuse it, often thru mistake or ignorance, should be no surprise in a network as large as Usenet. I doubt any of us is afraid to use "n" on any other group, why should it be sucjh a burden in this one? Dick Grantges hound!rfg
