[comp.windows.x] xterm scrollbar and scrollign regions problem

I have several problems dealing with xterms with scrollbars.

1) How do I set the size of the unseen region,... is there an upper limit?

2) Once a set scrooling region command is given to xterm, how does one set it
   back to scroll offscreen (I can only set it to scroll in onscreen 
   only, the offscreen is permanently fixed).
