[comp.windows.x] Problem using X on SunOS 4.0.3

somani@parns.nsc.com (Anil Somani) (12/13/89)

I am unable to run X applications across the network on our
Sun stations using SunOS 4.0.x. With SunOS 3.x everything
works fine i.e. I can run an application on a host A and
display the results on another host B's terminal.

The error message I get on OS 4.0 is
      basic: can't connect to X server hawaii:0.0

Host B in this case is 'hawaii'. I did add the requesting
host to the control list on hawaii's X Server using the
xhost command.

Can someone suggest a solution/workaround for this?

thanks in advance,
-Anil.
