Hello, For the past several weeks, I have been trying to get the X server (X11R3) for the Parallax 1280 Videographics processor to work - with not much success. The Parallax board is in a Sun 3/260 workstation running SunOS 4.0.1. Specifically, I am trying connect a keyboard (a DEC LK201AA) and a Logitech mouse (C7 serial) as specified by Parallax. I have rebulit the X server (Xplx) with the latest libraries and microcode from Parallax. When I start the server I get "inappropriate ioctl for the device" errors from the functions which are trying to access the keyboard and mouse. I have also rebuilt the SunOS kernel to use the latest driver which Parallax claims should work. Does any one have it running under SunOS 3.5? One of the options I have is to go back to SunOS 3.5. The purpose of this posting to look for people (Xperts :-)) who have tried to do this before and have been successful and/or to compare notes with others who are in the same boat as I am. I am looking for any information I can get on the Xplx server. Please respond via e-mail if you feel this is not of general interest. Thanks in advance for all your replies.
