Having patches for advance software is extremely useful in that we are so out of sync. I don't know how much of the contrib/ stuff will really build against the R4 code; Patrick is ensuring that xlock will, and kudos to him. Some things will break quickly with the new release. Woe unto you who depend on the XmPanedWindow.
