Does anyone out there in X land have or know of public domain widgets for graphing (and editing?) data. I know about xgraph, but it is not a widget and is for data display only (cannot edit). Also, I'm looking for dials, gauges, and vu-style meter widgets. While I'm at it, does anyone have an X application similar to Sun's mailtool that works with the standard Unix BSD mailer? [Ignore the From: address -- it's just to try and con the 50 mailer daemons that are going to bounce this posting!] In <15159@well.UUCP>, whiz@well.UUCP (Oishii Ichigo) asks for graphics widgets for dials, vu-graphs, meters etc. As a partial help, the xcpustate program (available by anonymous ftp from expo.lcs.mit.edu in contrib/xcpustate.tar.Z or from cs.toronto.edu in pub/X/xcpustate.tar.Z, or in R4 contrib later this year) has a Bar widget that does a semi-generic bar graph using grayscale levels. (Doesn't handle colour, probably a small matter of programming to fix it) If nothing else, it might offer a starting point for the others. (I'd appreciate copies of improvements or fixes) PS: sites that cannot ftp will have to ask uunet or someone that can make it available by uucp. Please don't ask us.
