I've been trying to use xdpr to dump and print a screen dump under X11R3.
The X11R3 is running on an HP 9000/370 under HPUX 6.5.
My problem is this. I run xdpr, select the window to dump, and during
processing get a broken pipe. So, I use xwd with the -xy flag since I
have a color monitor; save the output in a file; use xpr to print the
output file on a LaserWriter, with appropriate flags for the
LaserWriter. All I get printed is a black window.
If on the otherhand I do all of this for an HP Laserjet, I get the
screen dump.
Anyone else have this problem, seen this problem, have any suggestions
as to a possible solution?
Thanks in Advance.

Did you specify the correct -device option? For HP, xpr
defaults to the HP LaserJet. For a LaserWriter, I don't know
what it should be. What is the model of the LaserWriter? Check
the man page for xpr. It says you have to specify -device lw
for the LaserWriter. If this does not work, please let us know.
Unfortunately, the -device lw is equivalent to -device ps. This
code was not written at HP, we simple accepted it from MIT (sigh),
and must be taken with a grain of salt when applied to our printers.
