[comp.windows.x] XMH - does it exist ?

kent@ssbell.uu.net (Kent Landfield) (12/28/89)

I am trying to locate a copy of MH that runs under the X Window
System. Is there such a beast ? Can it be reached via ftp ? I
hope xterm is not the only answer... :-) Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The X Consortium supports a client called xmh that provides an X interface
to the Rand Mail Handling utilities (MH). This client is part of the Core MIT
X distribution in both X11R3 and X11R4. The source code can be found in the
directory ``clients/xmh''. Here is a breif exerpt from the Xmh manual page.

----------------

NAME
xmh - X interface to the MH message handling system

DESCRIPTION
The xmh program provides a window-oriented user interface to
the Rand MH Message Handling System. To actually do things
with your mail, it makes calls to the MH package. Elec-
tronic mail messages may be composed, sent, received,
replied to, forwarded, sorted, and stored in folders.
