Howdy - setup: Sun 3/60 CG4, OS 3.5, gcc 1.36, emacs 18.55.3 Having gotten R4 up and running I decided to get back to work only to find one of those little features one grows accustom to not working any more. The popup menus in emacs no longer seem to work. Actually as soon as I try to "popup" a menu emacs locks up. "ps" shows that emacs is running but it wont respond to any input. Moving the cursor, copying and pasting still work with the mouse (before lockup). When I envoke a popup menu I get the message "unknown XMenu error" from emacs. I know that popup menus in emacs are implemented with the old XMenu menuing system, which is no longer suported (to my knowledge), and that R4 is a bit stricter about some things, but.... anyone familar with emacs, XMenu & R4 have any ideas for a quick fix? thanks in advance. mark (steckel@csmill.umich.edu, mjs@eccs.umich.edu)
