[comp.windows.x] X window info wanted

Dear Netlanders,
 
I am looking for some information regarding X-Windows.  Specifically,
I have to come up with some justification that will allow our
department to buy Window graphics terminals designed to work with
X-Windows instead of the basic character oriented Terminals. (i.e VT320s)
 
What I need is some good convincing arguments to support this.  I need
to show advantages of the X-windowing environment.  This may be current
advantages or future advantages.
 
Any statistics that would show that a windowing interface makes a person
more productive than one would be with the basic terminal would be great.
 
Any help in this area would be appreciated.
