[net.news] paths to sites

[keeping the elephants away]

NOTE: this version fixes some problems from the one previously posted.

As someone new to the net, I faced the problem of finding out distribution
paths. I've posted my solution in net.sources. It consists of
a shell script and program that reads received net-news, and selects paths
with smallest numbers of hops. Some crude optimization is performed by
applying the result to itself. Results of the current run are merged with
those preceeding, so each site sort of learns its way around the net.
The tag end of some traffic I caught quibbled about how this method was
less than ideal, but it's better than nothing, especially for us newcomers.
A manual page is included in the sources. Hope others find it useful.
