Has anyone had experience using the SSI kyinit software while inside of xterm? We are using NCD X-terminals to run the 3270 emulation software within xterm windows. Kyinit reads an ascii file which associates 3270 functions with escape sequences. Our problem has been determining what escape sequence to type into that file if the chosen key is not currently generating anything. I'm aware of xmodmap but it doesn't always generate a "typable" escape sequence. Is there a methodical way to come up with a "typable " value other than trial and error? Also, does termcap enter into any of this? thanks in advance. Ricki Simon
