I am poised to order Motif 1.0 (I have the licences all ready), but I was wondering about its compatibility with X11R4. I have to use R4 (due to the improved Toolkit) and I don't want to spend money on incompatible software (is it?). So when is the next release of Motif which is fully R4 compatible? Is it soon enough for me to hold off and wait for a new release? The licence is a bit confusing about upgrades. I can't justify the spending of $2500 a year on the Software Support Services, which seems to include upgrades. If we buy Motif 1.0 and then a month later 1.1 comes out do we have to spend another $1000 to get the new version??? Any experiences would be helpful.
