System administrators should make the following three additions to their /usr/lib/news/aliases file*: net.notes net.news.notes net.chess net.games.chess mod.map.uucp mod.map What follows is the current "aliases" file on gatech: mod.map.uucp mod.map net.apollo net.works net.chess net.games.chess net.notes net.news.notes net.periph net.periphs net.puzzles net.puzzle net.sources.wanted net.wanted.sources net.stat net.math.stat net.term net.info-terms net.theatre net.theater net.trivia net.games.trivia net.unix.wizards net.unix-wizards net.vlsi net.lsi net.works.apollo net.works The groups "net.notes", "net.chess", and "mod.map.uucp" will all go away in a few days. Archive the contents of those groups somewhere if you don't want to lose them. (*) -- if you aren't running a recent release of news, then you don't have an "aliases" file. Plan on installing 2.10.3 when it is released. -- Gene "4 months and counting" Spafford The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf%GATech.CSNet @ CSNet-Relay.ARPA uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,hplabs,ihnp4,linus,seismo,ulysses}!gatech!spaf
