With Graphon and NCD now providing X over serial links and with X servers already in existence for DOS over a LAN, I was wondering whether anyone knows of an X-serial implementation for DOS or if any vendor out there will admit to working on such an implementation. Sorry I can't offer you a product, but there is a mailing list that I chair whose mission is to come up with a standard for X Terminal support across low bandwidth and/or unreliable links (i.e. RS232, etc.) If you're interested in joining the list, send a message to x-serial-request@lll-crg.llnl.gov. You can also peruse the x-serial message archives if you want via anonymous ftp from LLL-CRG.LLNL.GOV in the directory mailing-lists/x-serial. Casey
