[comp.windows.x] twm defaults vs. user definitions

harald@itk.unit.no (02/01/90)

1. How can I make a site specific startup for twm AND allow users to
override these definitions with their own .twmrc - something similar
to uwm? (Redefining mit/clients/twm/system.twmrc and rebuilding twm?)

2. Is there any way of including control statements in .twmrc;
	if [ "$NCD" = "1" ]; then .....

(I miss something like #include and #if in .twmrc...)

System: X11R4, SunOS 4.0.3c, Sun3&4

What I did to get around the lack of #ifdef if .twmrc is to maintain a
.twmrc.cpp file, and run it thru /lib/cpp -P with appropriate defines set
up. This is all done in my .xinitrc before I invoke twm.
