You bet there is. White Pine Software has a product called "eXodus" that runs on any Macintosh from a Plus to any of the II's. It's a little slow and it doesn't support color (yet), but it works. It's an R3-based server, it comes with its own font compiler (so you can make Mac "Suitcase" fonts into BDF and therefore SNF files), and it runs under Finder and MultiFinder. You need a network driver in your System Folder in order to use it. We have MacTCP here, and eXodus supports that driver as well as a few others. Here is their address and phone number: White Pine Software 94 Route 101A P.O. Box 1108 Amherst, NH 03031 (603) 886-9050 Allegedly, Apple is coming out with its own version of X under the Finder, but who knows when that'll ever be out? I remember hearing about that many months ago (it even had a part number for ordering), but I haven't seen any action. White Pine is out now, and it's pretty slick, considering the constraints they had to work with. I hope that helps some. ______________________________________________________________________________ George D.
