[comp.windows.x] our xmj doesn't work

We built xmj off the contrib/demos tape of R4...  It starts, draws the
board, with all the tiles, and then dies:

Sun 4/260, SunOS 4.0.3, gnu 1.36 with all the right options, fix-1 applied to
server.

X Error of failed request:  BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
  Major opcode of failed request:  62 (X_CopyArea)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  0
  Resource id in failed request:  0x0
  Serial number of failed request:  225
  Current serial number in output stream:  326

Before I go digging into this (and since it's obviously not a high priority
item to fix) has anyone else had this problem?
