Hello out there, Has anyone had any experience with X11R4 and a Silicon Graphics Personal Iris? I have the X11R3 Development option provided by SGI but I'm interested in building the R4 server, or barring that, building the R4 clients. I would like to keep R3 up because of the way SGI has integrated X and GL. It would be alright for R4 to take over the whole screen (and ignore GL) as long as when I quit R4, R3 runs as before. There is a configuration file sgi.cf in mit/config. Does this mean I can do a make World (provided I change the appropriate directory variables so as not to clobber R3) ? Or does this mean I can only build R4 clients? Will they run on SGI's R3 server? BTW, my configuration is Personal Iris 4D/25, IRIX 3.2, 8MB, 8 planes. Any help would be much appreciated.
