[comp.windows.x] Problem with Xsun -mono

jond@fair.UUCP (Jonathan Doughty) (02/13/90)

Would anyone have a clue as to why the X11R4 Xsun -mono option causes a
segmentation fault? The X11R4 server runs like a charm with the default
options on a color monitor, but if I "xinit -- -mono" or "Xsun -mono" I get
an immediate core dump.

Here's (hopefully all) the pertinent facts from the imake config files used to
build the X11R4 distribution, including the server, right out of the box:
#define OSName            SunOS 4.0.3
#define OSMajorVersion    4
#define OSMinorVersion    0
#define HasGcc YES			/* Using gcc 1.35 */
#define UseSunWindowsInServer	NO

Here's what dbx tells me:
dbx /usr/bin/X11/Xsun core

The hardware configuration is a Sun-3/160C; with a cgtwo0 (or so it says at
boot-up).

Is there any other information I could provide? Can anyone tell me what I
can do to correct this?
