Its free to developers. > > Who can qualify as a "developer"? > > Who do we call or contact to get more info > (especially in regards to educational licensing) ? > I saw in the last XUG monthly posting: AT&T's Open Look GUI 2.0 Xt-based toolkit will be generally available 2/90; for information contact Joanne Newbauer at (201)-829-8959. The current version is still available; contact 1-800-828-UNIX#544 for information. I checked with the Greensboro number and found out that the arrangement is the same for licensing Motif: You call up the number. They send you a licensing agreement; in AT&T's case, there is a general license that must be completed if you do not already license AT&T software. You return the forms with a purchase order or equivalent for a grand. A tape magically arrives. [I haven't reached this stage yet and don't know the formats available.] The entire XWIN system (server, ported libraries, etc.) is available as source for another $16K. And re education: The current AT&T Computer Training News (3:1, 12/89-1/90) lists a new 5-day hands-on course "Programming with the X Window System with the OPEN LOOK Application Programmer Interface (UC1095)".
