Hi, I have been having trouble with a server crash. My environment is: - Sun 3/60 - cc - twm - xinit - standard background and cursor Normally this crash is so uncommon that I was willing to live with it, but today I can't seem to keep the server running for more than a few minutes at a time. I can now reproduce the crash on demand. To cause the crash I rapidly open and close several (large, overlapping) Xterm windows. I continue this for up to 1 minute, and then: - my cursor changes to the twm "watch" and stays that way, - all output (xclock second hand, etc.) stops, and - all further input is ignored A few seconds later my screen fills with "lost connection" messages from some upset clients, and the whole thing comes grinding to a halt. Here is the dbx "where" output, run against the Xsun core file: ========================= miRegionUninit(0xefffa10) at 0x6d77c mfbCopyArea(0xbccd4, 0x1060dc, 0x106184, 0x0, 0x0, 0x20, 0x20, 0x0, 0x0) at 0x526d7 miDCMoveCursor(0xaeb74, 0xbcb9c, 0x3c, 0xb3, 0x20, 0x20, 0x8, 0x4, 0x1, 0x0) at 0x7a0af miSpriteDisplayCursor() at 0x7e001 miPointerDisplayCursor(0xaeb74, 0xbcb9c) at 0x78d37 ChangeToCursor(0xbcb9c) at 0x28029 PostNewCursor() at 0x280c7 DeactivatePointerGrab(0xaf6ec) at 0x2867f ProcUngrabPointer(0xc6790) at 0x2bb17 Dispatch() at 0x218f7 main(0x4, 0xefffc88, 0xefffc9c) at 0x2f8c5 ========================= I hope somebody can help me with this, as I am unlikely to be able to solve it on my own.
