I have been eyeing hungrily the R4 release of X11 on our local archive. My boss is concerned that it will take more disk space and waste my time. My question is, how much better is it than R3? Does it run faster? How much space does it take once you delete the sources? I am using a Sun 3/260 running SunOS 4.0.3. -David- Bitnet: david@wubios.wustl ^ Mr. David J. I did it anyway. :-) Seriously, it takes about 150 MB or so for the sources (including contrib). Binaries take (let me check...) around 12 MB on my 386i, including bitmaps, libraries, several contrib binaries, and Gnu Emacs. -- Frank Mayhar fmayhar@hermes.ladc.bull.com (..!{uunet,hacgate}!ladcgw!fmayhar) Bull HN Information Systems Inc.
