If I start a twm on a remote machine, and I then get it to exit using it's f.quit function then my rsh process hangs. In my .xinitrc file, I have rsh -n crackle $XBIN/twm -display $DISPLAY Twm starts and runs fine. When I tell it to quit, everything goes fine provided twm does not have any child clients. If twm does have child clients, then they are not killed. Further, twm dies allright, but the in.rshd process and the local rsh do not die. Consequently, the server doesn't die and the xinit hangs around. Has anyone got a solution for this? The server is on a sun 3/60 and the clients on a sun4 file server. The server and the clients have been compiled with gcc 1.36 and the libraries with cc. -- Ian Dall life (n).
