I am looking for information concerning the functional aspects of OSF/Motif. Particulary, I need to know what Motif offers (or will offer) to the user in terms of data interchange between applications. Windows and Presentation Manager have a Clipboard and the Dynamic Data Exchange protocol. Does Motif have similar facilities? Is it possible to, for example, mark the result of a database query with the mouse, drag it to a wordprocessor's window and insert the data? Is it possible to construct 'hot' links between applications? Does Motif support printers the way Windows and PM do? And is this functionality already a part of Motif or will it available sometime in the future?
