[comp.windows.x] Status of X11 under VM/CMS!

pierce@CAMBRIDGE.IBM.COM ("J. Andrew Pierce") (02/28/90)

At the time of the initial shipment of the X support with the TCP/IP
product for VM, IBM only supported the 11.2 Xlib interface. However,
we also shipped the Intrinsics as well as the Athena and H-P widget
sets. Recently, in a product update, we included the 11.3 level of
Xlib, the Intrinsics, and the Athena widget set. This support was also
modified to allow the use of the Program Product C Compiler for VM,
which began shipping mid-year 1989, as I remember. At Xhibition '89,
we demonstrated prototype level Motif code running from VM, and
although supporting Motif is more than just a re-compile, it is
possible to get it running.
