hplabs is clean, and fortune is clean. this leaves foros1 and hpda to
be the possible culprits. I've seen flakeys out of hpda on and off-- can
someone take a look at the system? I don't believe it is foros1 because I
THINK it runs notes which doesn't have this problem. Stupid line eaters...

I don't think article 6083@mcvax is a victim of the line eater bug as the number of lines in the article matches the number shown in the 'Lines:' entry of the article header. This does not occur with articles hit by the bug. I suspect whoever posted the article did something incorrectly.

He forgot a primary rule of the net, one that is probably in the 'Introduction to Usenet' document but really ought to be printed by 'postnews' before it lets you make a fool of yourself: Never, EVER, attempt to be subtle on Usenet.
