Has anyone patched the bug in twm R4 that has it ignore PSize requests? The problem causes xloadimage to open a window the size of the image (even if that's greater than the screen size), instead of the ~90% of the screen size that is nicer to deal with. I've traced the problem to "mit/clients/twm/resize.c", but lack the Xpertise to go farther without help. -- Dave Small; EE Dept, UBC; 2356 Main Mall; Vancouver, BC; V6T 1W5 Canada daves@ee.ubc.ca uunet!ubc-cs!ee.ubc.ca!daves

No wonder I couldn't find that bug in xloadimage... BTW, when you resize an xloadimage window in only one dimension you can pull the image all the way 'outside' of the window in the other dimension, with some interesting results. Is this a feature? SS1, SunOS 4.0.3c X11R4, fix-5 xloadimage 1.04 twm w/colormap fix. /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ Mark Horstman Information Systems - Southwestern Bell Telephone uunet!swbatl!mhorstm

Is this a feature? Nope, it's a bug, probably relating to the fix I put it to allow resizing under relatively stupid window managers. I'll look into it. jim frost saber software jimf@saber.com
