[comp.windows.x] map of USA with X windows

Is there a routine in the public domain that will draw a map of the 
USA and can be used with a C program? I am interested in plotting 
some points and lines on the map with the graphics routines of X.

Any help would be greatlyu appreciated.

I am looking for a way to draw the map of USA in the X window and be
able to do the other graphical activities. Is there a routine or a bitmap
file that can be used with a C program to plot out the map?
