We have the server that comes with XNeXT Version 0.9.1 (available as binary distribution from athena-dist.mit.edu) running with X11R4. That is, everything except for the server is R4. That includes the fonts, which were compiled on a Sun, because the R4 font compiler produces garbage when compiled on the NeXT. There was some work involved to get imake, makedepend and xload working.
