[comp.windows.x] Can't understand what the problem is ... HELP!

yakker@clemente.ucr.edu (matt robinson) (03/19/90)

I am having a real problem with compiling some of the programs with the MIT distribution.
For some reason, I keep coming up with errors like :

<99 src@mays ~/xmtool> cc -o xmtool xmtool.o -lXaw -lXt -lXmu -lX11 -O
ld: Undefined symbol
                 _XtDialogGetValueString
                 _XtTextGetInsertionPoint
                 _XtTextSetSource

For some reason, some of these files are missing from my libXt.a menu. Now, I didn't
end up running into any problems when initially installing the mit part of tape 1,
but now I can't seem to get a few of the programs in the tape 2 section compiled,
because errors related to XtText and XtDialog keep popping up. Anyone got any kind
of clue? (Please respond my E-mail, and if needed, I can post a list of answers.)
Thanks
