[comp.windows.x] warning, we were detached

The gateway path between comp.windows.x and xpert was disconnected for
a number of days, maybe Thursday of last week through part of Monday,
due to problems at bloom-beacon.  If your message during that time
appears to have fallen on deaf ears, that may explain it.
